Federal Signal logo

We are pleased to share the exciting news that Federal Signal Corporation (“Federal Signal”), a public company that trades under the ticker “FSS” on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Western Technology.

Founded in 1901, Federal Signal builds and delivers industry-leading equipment that moves material, cleans infrastructure, and protects the communities where its people work and live, serving municipal, governmental, industrial, and commercial customers. Headquartered in Downers Grove, Illinois, with manufacturing facilities worldwide, the Company currently operates two groups: the Environmental Solutions Group (“ESG”) and the Safety and Security Systems Group (“SSG”).

Western Technology’s American-made proprietary portable explosion-protected lighting solutions, which serve industrial, marine, aviation, and U.S. government customers, fold naturally into SSG, which manufactures public safety equipment, such as vehicle lightbars and sirens, industrial signaling equipment, public warning systems, and general alarm/public address systems (please see appendix for a list of ESG products and solutions).

Your relationship with the Western Technology brand and your primary points of contact remain unchanged. Your current representatives are available to answer any questions you may have throughout this transition.

Thank you for your past and continued support and partnership.

Sincerely,

Jim Giese
